When you look at the Minnesota Twins you can't help but think about what's went wrong.
The Twins coming off 2 straight AL Central titles in 2009/2010 and have now put up back to back 90 loss season of 99/96 game. And in 2013 I expect the Twins to lose another 85-90 games.
Minnesota's major problem last season was their pitching. Ranking 2nd worst in the American League in ERA (4.77), ER (762), and allowing the most hits (1536).
The Twins in my opinion did a fairly good job at trying to improve that pitching this offseason. Bringing players such as veterans Rich Harden, Mike Pelfrey, and Kevin Correia. Minnesota also acquired Vance Worley in a trade with the Phillies.
But of the down side, Minnesota lost two of their starting outfielder from last year in Denard Span and Ben Revere. Span was traded to the Nationals and Revere went to the Phillies. Leaving questions in the outfield.
The Twins are also a little weak at the infield when it comes to 2nd base and shortstop. Trevor Plouffe is more of a wild card at 3rd base when you consider that he really only had one good month last season.
Justin Morneau came back healthy last season and had a decent year. He hopes to come back even stronger this year in a contract season in Minnesota.
Make what you want out of the Minnesota Twins. The pitching recieved an upgrade, but now the offense lacks some talent. After a couple very poor seasons its going to take a lot to bring the Twins back in 2013.
