Spring Training report, Milwaukee Brewers.

In 2011 the Milwaukee Brewers had won their division for the 1st time in franchise history with a record of 96-66. Ryan Braun was MVP and the future was looking good for the Brewers.

That coming offseason took a turn for the worse when Prince Fielded became a free-agent and Ryan Braun tested positive for PED's.

Fielded left Milwaukee after the Tigers won him over with a monster contract. Braun was suspended for 50 games.

After a lot of discussion it was announced shortly before Spring Training that Brauns test samples were tampered with thus removing his 50 game suspension. Yet the questions still lingered for the defending MVP.

The season got off to a slow start for Milwaukee as they were under the .500 mark for a lot of the season and were 47-56 by the trade deadline.

Zack Grienke was traded to the Angels and the Brewers went on a late Postseason run, but finished just short of claiming a wild card spot at 83-79.

Even with the loss of Prince Fielder, the Brewers still put up some very productive offensive numbers. Leading the NL in HR's, RBI's, and stolen bases.

Yet on the other hand the biggest weakness Milwaukee had in 2012 was easily their pitching. Ranking near the bottom in a lot of important pitching categories (ERA, BAA, H, ER).

Then this year with the losses of Zack Grienke, and Shaun Marcum; its hard to see their pitching as anything above reliable.

Overall, this years Brewers team is a lot like last years. There isn't much there and they now have less this season. So for 2013 I can only predict a 70-92 record, and 4th in the NL Central.
