Vernon Wells trade rumors.

Now that the Angels signed Josh Hamilton they now have a surplus of outfielders and might be looking to trade one.

The Angels don't want to trade Mark Trumbo or Peter Borjious but would rather trade Kendry Morales or Vernon Wells. According to sources the Yankees and Angels had talked about Vernon Well at the Winter Meetings.

Wells who is 34 will be owed $21M each of the next 2 years on his contract and Los Angeles will have to eat a large part of that in order to trade him.

Wells could fit the Yankees needs as a right-handed outfielder. But could also go to a team like Tampa or Philly. He also has a full no-trade clause which he would waive to go somewhere else for more playing time.
