So yesterday we tried to break down the AL division races. Now I thought we could try to answer a even bigger question, who should win AL MVP?
This year we have a load of guys who are worthy of MVP honors. Players like Cabrera, Trout, Beltre, Jeter, and others. But if we all had to pick a top 2, I think we could all agree on picking Trout and Cabrera.
But who deserves it more? Many would say Miguel Cabrera mostly because he's got a chance to be the 1st triple crown winner in almost 50 years.only 1 HR keeps him away from holding that title, and I think if he does win the triple crown that he should easily be MVP. To achieve something hasn't been done in almost 50 years deserves a high reward with it.
On the other hand, Mike Trout is have possibly the greatest rookie season of all-time. He's even being called the next Willie Mays. Trout is breaking Angles records and MLB records left and right, setting new highs in runs scored, total hits by a rookie and a few others.
From the day that Trout was called up, his high level of energy each day at the ballpark has continued to lift his Angles teammates even as they keep pushing at a playoff spot.
Even at this very moment I still am not sure who deserve the title of MVP the most. I'm leaning in favor of Trout. But if Miggy can finsh up the season holding a triple crown title he would easily gain my full support.
