NL MVP race.

After talking about my AL MVP winner yesterday, that means its time to take a trip over to the National League in find a MVP there as well.

The NL race is maybe a tougher to decide, but I still think we can find 1 player most deserving of the honor. There are 3 players that 1st come to mind as the best possible choices. Buster Posey, Ryan Braun, and Andrew McCutchen.

About half way through the year McCutchen was easily my #1 pick to win the award. He was putting up great numbers driving in runs, hitting home runs, and he was even led in batting average for a little while.McCutchen had the Pirates thinking playoffs for the 1st time in a long time. The Pirates gave McCutchen a big extension for 6-years, 451 million in spring training and he's earned every penny since getting it. But with the Pirates no longer with a playoff hope, the talks of MVP might take a hit. Sorry Andrew but you no longer have my vote.

Ryan Braun has been much over looked this season since his team has slipped from postseason talks and after the whole PED's use scandal, but he's easily MVP worthy. Many might not know this but Ryan Braun is only batting points away from a triple crown of his own trailing Buster Posey by 16 points it might be too late to get that title but the numbers are still great. Say what you may about Braun using steroids but his stats are actually better this year than his MVP season last year. But with the Brewers not really in a postseason race having a bad year that might do some damage to his chances but he could still win it.

Now on to my personal choice, Buster Posey. Posey is the NL batting leader now that his teammate Melky Cabrera dropped out after being suspended. He's been the leader and star power of the Giants year especially after losing Cabrera and has done absolute wonders with this Giants pitching staff that ranked 7th in ERA. Posey has lead the Giants to another NL West title and has a chance to even carry the Giants to their 2nd World Series in 3 years.

So there you have it. All 3 candidates explained from my point of view. So go ahead and pick your favorite. I already have mine.
