Mariners, Felix Hernandez agree to 7-yr, $175M deal.

In the big news of the day, according to reports from USA Today, the Seattle Mariners and SP Felix Hernandez have agreed to terms on a 7-year, $175M contract extension.

The deal makes King Felix, who turns only 27 this year, the highest paid pitcher to ever play the game, passing Yankees SP CC Sabathia's 7-year, $161M contract he signed in 2009. 98 77, 3.22

Hernandez has neen with the Mariners since 2005 with a career record of 98-77, and 3.22 ERA in his 8 seasons in Seattle.
