Phillies sign John Lannan.

Shortly after the Phillies signed RHP Mike Adams the team went right back to work to sign LHP John Lannan to a reported 1-yr, $2.5M contract with $2.5M in incentives that could bring the total to $5M.

Lannan is coming to Philly after pitching for division rival Washington. He spent most of the season in AAA but posted a 4-1 record with an ERA of 4.17 in 6 games for the Nationals.

The Phillies were looking for a "low-risk" pitcher to fill into the rotation after the team traded Vance Worley to the Twins for Ben Ravere, and Lannan fits that spot.
