According to reports by Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Philadelphia Phillies have shown interest in OF's Cody Ross and Vernon Wells.
The Phillies traded away Shane Victorino and Hunter Pence at the trade deadline and have been looking for quality bats to fill in their outfield needs.
Philadelphia has been pushing hard for a while to land Ross, even after acquiring Ben Revere from the Twins this winter. Ross has also been linked to the Mets, Mariners, Orioles, and others.
The Angels signed Josh Hamilton last week and are now loaded on OF's, and wouldn't mind trading the 35 year-old Wells. He is owed $42M over the next 2-years and the Angels would have to eat a large load of that in order to move him. Wells has a full no-trade clause but would waive it to go some were else for more playing time.
