Todays the day. It's Opening Day. My favorite time of the year. Spring training is finally over. The rosters are set. No more no names, only the big names.
Today starts the journey, a six month journey. A long, tiring campaign, all in the hunt for glory, history, and the quest for a shiny new ring.
After the extra long spring training this year, due to the World Baseball Classic. I'm ready more than ever. I'm ready to see how every teams offseason moves pan out. I'm ready to see how the Astros fair in the American league. And I'm super ready, to see how the injury ridden Yankees, deal with the extremely touht, AL East.
What I love most about Opening Day is that everyone starts in first place. The Astros and the Yankees are neck and neck. Everyone has a chance to play in October. For the first couple weeks at least, all 30 teams are still in contention.
Winter is finally over. Spring is here in full bloom. With it, comes 30 teams, ready to battle it out for the greatest achievements a team can accomplish. Earning the right to be called, a World Series champion.
Baseball is back. PlayBall!
