The BlueJays have officially announced that they have acquired Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey from the New York Mets. Dickey went 20-4, 2.73 ERA in 2012 for the Mets.
Dickey and the Jays reached an agreement today on a 2-year, $25M extension with a club option for 2016. Dickey had been asking for an extension like this from the Mets but they were only to offer him 2-years, $20M.
Along with Dickey, the BlueJays will revive Josh Thole and a prospect with Travis d'Anaurd, Noah SynderGaard, John Buck, and a prospect heading to New York.
